🏗️ Durante (Work in Progress)

In the older part, there were several significant architectural elements that needed extra care: the front door, timber-framed windows, and the front porch, which had decayed parts replaced.

I began by stripping away the many layers of old paint from doors, windows, and the porch. Once the bare surfaces were exposed, I carefully filled cracks, sanded everything smooth, and masked the surrounding areas.

For the cement-based mouldings and cornices, I resurfaced them with a render skim coat to restore sharp profiles before repainting.

🖼️ Dopo (Completed Work)

After thorough preparation, I applied the required number of primer and finish coats to all the timber components — doors, windows, and porch — in a dual-colour scheme chosen to enhance architectural contrast.

The cement trims were fully repainted after being smoothed and restored.

The result

The charm of the original architecture is now cleanly restored, fully integrated with the modern extension, and protected for years to come.
